Arts Center
The NDHU Art Center was established in 2004 under the “Toward an Excelling General Education in the 21st-Century Program”, which was subsidized by the Ministry of Education (“Program to Enhance Fundamental University Education,” 2nd Session). Through a variety of art courses and events, the chief purpose of the Art Center is to instill core values in aesthetic cultivation and experience in the university, as well as in the community as a whole. The main objectives of the Art Center are to:
•Organize art activities and exhibitions at NDHU.
•Arrange arts and culture related courses.
•Invite visiting or resident artists and instructors.
•Promote aesthetic and cultural developments in community.
Our priorities do not depend on any grand building but rather in a strong emphasis on artistic expression and cultural depth within the university and the community. As a crucial basis for Arts education at the university, we encourage artistic development, cultural participation, creative potential, and humanist spirit to enrich every student’s aesthetic competence for now and the future.
